O’CEBREIRO

by Aubry Rose

Time for another informative little blog posty wosty!

We have arrived in Galicia and my oh my is it glorious looking! Our albergue last night in O’Cebreiro had the most spectacular view of Spain EVER, seen even from the bathroom, and the town was covered in Celtic influence. So beautiful, and one of the favorites.

We left at about 6 am to get a head start on the difficult day, and I can assure you no Spaniards are awake at that hour.

The walk was beautiful, and elevation of the tree trunks (translation: legs) was necessary yet again. Over the past four days we have walked about 120 km, adjusted for the steep ascents and descents up and down the mountains.

This is what we saw this morning at sunrise – mountains upon mountains and teeny tiny far away towns covered in fog. I was in la-la-love.

Tomorrow we will hit the 100 km mark and have less than a week left of walking, which is hard to believe. It feels like we have been on the road forever, yet at the same time it’s unbelievable that we have come this far. Pray for us as we pray for you!
